Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Water & Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will have the backing of over 450 experts nationally and report directly into the Director - Water & Wastewater.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage major water & wastewater projects from inception to detailed design and construction phases.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Take a leading role as a technical advisor for the team, providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with other teams and offices to ensure an integrated design approach.
  • Provide specialist technical input to feasibility studies and conceptual designs.
  • Undertake construction cost estimates for budgeting purposes.
  • Prepare written reports and make technical presentations to clients and other internal/external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the planning and design of project elements, preparation of reports, hydraulic models, design calculations, technical drawings, construction plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, constructors, approval authorities, government agencies and the public to accomplish objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in municipal water & wastewater infrastructure planning and project management.
  • Must have experience in water and wastewater network modelling.
  • Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Capable of contributing to business development activities, pursuing new clients/projects.
  • Must have a proven track record of leading technical engineering teams and successfully managing water & wastewater projects.
