Senior Water Resources Engineer Role

Engeny is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the water resources team, you will provide consultancy and technical services to deliver innovative solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects locally, nationally and internationally.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise on water resources projects, advising clients on the feasibility of project proposals and identifying potential risks.
  • Support business development activities with new and existing clients to grow the strategic direction of the water resources team.
  • Conduct risk assessments and advise feasible solutions to clients.
  • Assess water infrastructure from strategic planning to design and operation across a range of industries with a focus in the resources sector.
  • Apply technical fundamentals and flood modeling (hydrologic and hydraulic) and water balance modeling to assessments including flood studies, surface water impact assessments; watercourse diversion design, monitoring, and rehabilitation; water management plans; and erosion and sediment control.


Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6+ years' professional experience with demonstrated technical expertise in water resources engineering within a consultancy environment.
  • Relevant tertiary engineering degree (Civil, Environmental).
  • Desire and willingness to work toward CPENG and/or RPEQ registration.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, develop business and project manage.
  • Strong knowledge and application of local standards, Australian standards and statutory and regulatory requirements relating to civil design and water management.
  • Well-rounded critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • A good attitude to mentoring junior staff as and when required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levels.
