About the Role

We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fashion Buyer and Design Coordinator to join our small and close-knit design team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for assisting our head designer with product and design development, working with contractors to source fabrications and trims, and managing product development with contractors.

You'll also be involved in fitting sessions, approving final samples, and contributing to costing estimates. Additionally, you'll assist with photoshoots, ensuring all products are photographed with running sheets, and manage the critical path from product conception to delivery to store.

We're looking for someone with a keen eye for product, a passion for slow fashion, and excellent communication skills. If you're a team player with a hands-on approach and a commitment to quality, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist head designer with product and design development
  • Work with contractors to source fabrications and trims
  • Manage product development with contractors
  • Conduct fitting sessions and approve final samples
  • Contribute to costing estimates
  • Assist with photoshoots
  • Manage the critical path from product conception to delivery to store
Requirements
  • At least two years of buying experience or a similar related role
  • Interest in slow fashion and passion for the world of retail
  • Tertiary qualification in Fashion, Marketing, or Business highly regarded
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High-level experience using Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Highly organized and with impeccable time management skills
