Master Technician for Defence Fuel Installation

At UGL, we are seeking a skilled Master Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance team in the Defence sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work on fuel-related assets and equipment, supporting national security requirements in Australia.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be based at Amberley and support surrounding locations in the Southern and Darling Downs regions. Occasional regional travel may be required. This permanent position involves working Monday – Friday, 38 hours per week, as part of a core crew of experienced technicians.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Perform scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment
  2. Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment
  3. Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment
  4. Support subcontracted work packages as required
  5. Support various sites in the Southern Queensland region, with occasional requirement to travel to various sites throughout QLD
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience
  2. Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas
  3. Experience working within the defence fuels network or defence industry will be highly regarded
  4. Confined space and working at heights tickets will be highly regarded
  5. Safety is at the forefront of everything you do
  6. Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance

Compensation Package

You can expect a competitive salary package, including:

  • Level 1 - $45.57 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($35.27 Weekly)
  • Level 2 - $49.05 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($35.27 Weekly)
  • Level 3 (Dual Trade) - $52.55 Plus Super & Tool Allowance ($35.27 Weekly)
