Electrical Maintenance Specialist for Defence Operations

At UGL, we are currently recruiting skilled Electricians to join our Operations & Maintenance team in a unique opportunity to work on Defence fuel related Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance. As an Electrician with Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) experience, you will be part of a core crew of experienced technicians based at RAAF Amberley, supporting surrounding locations in the South East QLD region.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled electrical maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment
- Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment
- Electrical Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment
- Support subcontracted work packages as required
- Occasional regional travel throughout South East QLD
We are looking for a strong team player, self-starter and dedicated employee who will draw on their experience and diverse skills to deliver high-quality outcomes for UGL and our customer. The successful applicant will have:
- A-grade electrical licence with relevant post-trade experience
- Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) trained
- Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas
- Confined space and working at heights tickets will be highly regarded
- Safety is at the forefront of everything you do
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance
- This is a long-term contract with locational stability, allowing you to work close to home
