Electrical Trainer

Are you an experienced Electrician looking to share your knowledge with future industry experts? We have a rewarding career opportunity for a TAFE Queensland Electrical Trainer, working in our Cairns Campus.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team of expert trainers. As an Electrical Trainer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality training programs to students and apprentices, helping them develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their careers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical training programs to students and apprentices, using a variety of delivery methods including classroom, online, and workplace training.
  • Develop and implement curriculum materials that meet industry standards and address the needs of learners.
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback to support ongoing improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of three years' experience as an Electrician, with relevant qualifications and industry currency.
  • Current vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed: UEE30820 – Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
  • One of the following training and assessment credentials: TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor, TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor, TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools.
  • Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
