Senior Governance & Risk Lawyer

This is a key role within our General Counsel and Risk Department, responsible for overseeing Dentons' responses to claims and complaints.

  1. Manage business acceptance processes including conflicts clearance
  2. Oversee Dentons' response to the forthcoming AML legislation
  3. Provide training for all staff on risk issues

You will also be responsible for advising in relation to contractual arrangements and providing guidance on risk management best practices.

This role would suit someone with experience as a conflicts lawyer or within a law firm Office of General Counsel, or a senior lawyer with relevant corporate, commercial, litigation and/or compliance or company secretarial experience.

Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. You must be able to anticipate risks and develop solutions, with a high level of attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of 5 lawyers.
