Expert Briefing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Senior Advisor to deliver high-quality, timely, and accurate ministerial briefings, correspondence, and information.
This role blends operational delivery with strategic oversight—identifying emerging issues, driving process improvements, and leading key initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
As the leader of a small, high-performing team, you will guide and mentor staff to ensure ministerial products are prepared to the highest standard, reinforcing the department's reputation for excellence.
- Provides effective leadership, people management, and supports the development of capability across the team.
- Supervises team outputs and assists in the allocation and prioritisation of work to ensure delivery against deadlines and quality standards.
- Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external business areas, and prioritises understanding stakeholder issues.
- Drafts, edits, and reviews policy and process documents, briefs, correspondence, and other written materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, policy alignment, and compliance.
