Cuscal Limited is seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist to join our team in Australia. This role is perfect for those passionate about cybersecurity and looking for a challenging opportunity to grow their skills.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist to identify, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats that may impact Cuscal's digital assets. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our systems against cyberattacks.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring security alerts and events generated from multiple sources, including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools, and other detection technologies.
- Conducting proactive threat hunting activities to identify suspicious activity within the environment.
- Analyzing network traffic and system logs to identify patterns, trends, and potential threats.
- Developing custom detection rules, use cases, and threat models based on current threat intelligence and organizational needs.
- Responding to security incidents by conducting thorough investigations and coordinating with relevant teams for remediation.
- Providing containment, eradication, and recovery actions to minimize the impact of security incidents.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of security principles, authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms.
- Expertise with security monitoring and incident response tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, SOAR, Threat intelligence platform).
- Strong knowledge of common attack vectors, malware, and exploitation techniques.
- Experience with scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, etc.) to streamline detection and response activities.
- Proven experience leading high-severity incident responses in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
