Westpac Group is offering a rewarding career opportunity for an experienced Threat Intelligence and Cyber Security Specialist to join our Information Security team.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled professional to provide tactical, operational, and strategic threat intelligence to support our business. As a Threat Intelligence and Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in analyzing sophisticated adversarial threat actors and campaigns that may pose a threat to Westpac and our stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Produce clear and concise analytic products on cyber threats, including situation reports and analyst reports
- Identify, analyze, and deliver short-turnaround assessments on emerging cyber threat issues
- Provide briefs or presentations on cyber threat actors
- Maintain situational awareness of contemporary and developing threats in the Asia-Pacific region
- Collaborate with other teams across the Information Security Group
- Contribute or participate in industry or government cyber security initiatives

Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of intelligence analysis and/or cyber security analysis roles
- Foundational technical background and understanding of incident response
- Good written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail
- Sound research, critical thinking, and analysis skills (with formal training a bonus)
- Awareness of major cyber threats in the global landscape
- Interest in cyber security or technology, and a drive to research and learn
Preferred Qualifications:
- Tertiary education in a related field
