Saab 340 Inflight Attendants

Rex Airlines, Australia's largest independent regional airline, operates a fleet of Saab 340 aircraft to 54 destinations. This provides a link between cities and regional Australia.

Our flight attendants are well known for their warm and genuine inflight service. They have won the Apex Award 2024 for Best Cabin Service in the South Pacific, highlighting the dedication of our team.

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time solo flight attendants based in Townsville. To be successful, you must be:

• Independent and self-reliant: As a solo Flight Attendant, you will manage the entire cabin independently, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the flight.
• Customer-focused: As a solo Flight Attendant, you will manage your own cabin and provide a caring and personalized service while travelling to unique Australian destinations.
• Detail-oriented and safety-conscious: You will need to manage in-flight services while maintaining a high standard of safety and compliance with aviation regulations.

The role offers a great work-life balance along with competitive remuneration. It includes working on weekends, public holidays, shift work, and some nights spent away from home.

You will perform duties such as equipment/security checks, in-flight announcements, in-flight food & beverage service, cleaning duties, and handling various situations that may occur in the cabin on your own.

• Be 18 years of age or over
• Have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
• Be no taller than 173 cm
• Hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
• Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
• Be able to demonstrate that you have:
• Completed a minimum of 3 years of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand, or
• Worked in Australia or New Zealand for at least 3 of the last 5 years, or
• Worked in the UK, Ireland, or USA for at least 3 of the last 5 years, or
• Completed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall grade of 5.5.
• Be able to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) which involves a police security check
• Have experience in customer service
• Be able to swim fully clothed without aid or floating device (a swim assessment is required)
• Be flexible; working hours will vary and include working during holiday times and peak periods
• Have a high level of personal presentation
• Have a natural willingness to please and care for people

We will provide extensive training; flying experience is not required.
