Network Architecture Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to support our Gateway Project within a secure Defence environment.

  • Assist in the design, build, and integration of network elements within a standalone Defence network environment.
  • Provide SME-level advice on gateway project architecture, integration, and technical implementation.
  • Deliver Level 3 support for gateway infrastructure, troubleshooting complex issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document network specifications including detailed enclave designs, schematics, and build instructions.
  • Ensure alignment of network and security standards, policies, and system design.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Operating Systems: Microsoft Server 2019/2022, Red Hat 8/9, Red Hat Open Shift Container Platform (OCP)
  • Networking & Security: Cisco & Juniper enterprise solutions Proxies (Bluecoat Proxy SG), Email Security (Cisco ESA/SMA), Fortinet appliances Infrastructure & Security Architecture: Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Bastion Hosts, Jump Boxes Reverse Proxy, NAT, VPN, DNS, Mail Servers IDS/IPS, SSL termination, F5 BIG-IP, Citrix Net Scaler Traffic Engineering: VLAN, VRF, VDC, VRBGPG, Policy-Based Routing (PBR), Port Security802.1x NAC, ACLs, IPSec, Trust Sec, Mac Sec Monitoring & Analytics: Splunk, Graylog, Dynatrace, ELK Stack, or equivalent SIEM tools Active/passive network taps for traffic collection and analysis
  • Mandatory Requirements: Current AGSVA NV2 Security Clearance15–20 years' ICT experience, ideally within Defence environments Recognised certifications highly regarded: Red Hat Open Shift Architect/Designer
