Job Description

As an Automotive Body Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition. This will involve:

  • Verifying received parts for correctness and defects
  • Disassembling vehicles according to Job Sheets
  • Labeling and storing parts
  • Identifying broken parts and extra repairs, submitting them to Estimators as requested
  • Inspecting new parts for correctness and damage, notifying Parts Managers/Production Managers of defects
  • Mixing and matching vehicle colors after preparation and scheduling for painting
  • Building and maintaining color libraries
  • Preparing, priming, and painting vehicles according to Job Sheet requirements, following paint supplier processes
  • Buffing and denibbing vehicles
  • Repairing vehicles according to Repair Methods, OEM standards, and Estimates/Jobs Sheets
  • Reassembling vehicles
  • Handling vehicles with care and attention
  • Cleaning work areas and workshops

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent qualifications
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a hardworking attitude
  • Ownership of tools
