About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Transformational Projects team as a Transformational Program Manager. This is a term contract, full-time position for up to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and activate Council's communications and engagement activities related to the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants (WSIG) Transformational Projects.
  • Lead, define, and develop communication requirements for the Transformational Program unit and individual WSIG projects.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification (minimum diploma) in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing.
  • Solid experience in communications or a related field.
  • Current Class C driver's license.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience in managing challenging stakeholder issues.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment delivering high-quality work to tight timeframes.
  • International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) or equivalent training in community engagement.
  • Knowledge of political sensitivity in representation of the program and projects to elected representatives and community.
  • Experience working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities.
Remuneration and Benefits
  • The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.
  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,560.32 per week.
  • 35-hour working week.
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement.
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
