About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Transformational Projects team as a Transformational Program Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation and activation of all communications and engagement within Council, to the community and stakeholders on the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants (WSIG) program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication strategies to engage stakeholders and promote the WSIG program
  • Lead the development of communication materials, including reports, briefs, and presentations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and engagement
  • Provide advice and support to the WSIG program team on communication and engagement matters

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing
  • Proven experience in communications or a related field
  • Current class C driver's licence

Desirable

  • Previous experience in managing challenging stakeholder issues
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment delivering high-quality work to tight timeframes
  • International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) or equivalent training in community engagement

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,622.73 per week
  • 35-hour working week
