Job Title: Maintenance Manager

The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is seeking a dynamic leader to oversee the management of our built asset portfolio at the Toowoomba Campus and designated remote sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementing proactive maintenance strategies, identifying and mitigating safety risks through regular inspections, and ensuring compliance with building codes and legislation.
  • Implementing safety documentation, crafting multi-year maintenance plans, managing both planned and reactive maintenance delivery, coordinating with contractors, and serving as the primary contact for urgent maintenance incidents outside regular hours.
  • Resolve complex asset issues and provides technical advice to stakeholders.

This role requires regular travel between UniSQ campuses and may involve out-of-hours work to respond to critical incidents or other high-priority tasks.

Requirements:

You will have proven leadership skills in managing diverse teams, in-depth knowledge of building infrastructure (electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry), and strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
- High computer literacy in resource and works planning software is essential.
