About the Role

The Autism Association of WA is a leading For-Purpose Specialist Autism Service Provider, dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with Autism and their families. As a key member of our team, the Learning and Development Specialist plays a vital role in supporting our Mission and Vision by developing and delivering learning activities that build workforce capability and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and deliver learning solutions to meet strategic goals, leveraging best practices in Autism to enhance our learning strategies.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate various learning methods, both online and in-person, to address capability gaps and drive business outcomes.
  • Analyse role capabilities, create frameworks, and design development pathways to support employee growth and development.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and subject matter experts to create cohesive and inclusive learning solutions that meet business needs.
  • Manage our Learning platform and evaluate learning solutions, incorporating feedback from employees to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or an equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with digital authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and learning management systems, such as ELMO.
  • Practical application of best practices in adult learning and significant experience in developing and delivering various learning activities, including group training facilitation, one-on-one training and assessments, and e-learning module development.
  • Proficiency in designing and developing engaging content, along with highly developed presentation skills to captivate audiences in different settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Prior experience in the health, disability, or community services sectors is highly regarded.
