Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled ICT Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for securing our clients' ICT infrastructure by designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect against potential threats across the following tasks:

  • Designing and maintaining security architecture, ensuring database architecture, data structures, and naming conventions meet security standards and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of sensitive data;
  • Performing operational setup and preventive maintenance of secure backup systems, recovery procedures, and enforcing security and integrity controls to protect data.
  • Creating and administering database documentation, security guidelines, policies, and procedures to protect organizational information;
  • Testing and securing database systems and upgrades, focusing on security vulnerabilities, tracking, reproducing, and resolving any identified issues in alignment with approved quality testing procedures;
  • Taking responsibility for security processes and procedures, including operational management of system security and disaster recovery planning;
  • Working with security vendors, suppliers, and service providers to analyze, recommend, install, and maintain security applications. Monitoring and ensuring compliance with security performance and service level agreements;
  • Diagnosing, resolving, and repairing server-related security malfunctions, encompassing workstations and communication infrastructure;
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation, policies, and instructions detailing security operational procedures and system logs for tracking and auditing;
  • Designing secure computer sites and network architecture, ensuring all components work securely and monitoring network performance for any security vulnerabilities;
  • Continually assessing the security of the current computer site to determine future needs and making recommendations for enhancements to server and network security measures.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. At least five years of relevant experience and/or relevant vendor certification may substitute for the formal qualification. To apply, suitably qualified applicants are invited to send through a CV outlining qualifications and experience.
