The MAU is the frontline of acute medical care, presenting a high turnover of patients with complex conditions.

Key responsibilities include patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation using competent clinical skills aligned with the registered nurse standards of practice.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, patients, and carers in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Delegation and supervision of enrolled nurses and assistants in nursing according to their scope of practice.
- Participate in performance reviews and ongoing professional development opportunities.
