Software Engineer - Graphics and Windowing System

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our team as a skilled software engineer in graphics and windowing systems. You will work on the Mir technology stack, which offers high-performance and high-efficiency solutions for window managers, display subsystems, and related applications.

In this role, you will design and implement features across the Mir stack, collaborate with colleagues to resolve technical issues, participate in code reviews, develop and maintain tests, engage with the open source community, and ensure seamless collaboration with commercial partners.

To excel in this position, you should have strong skills in modern C++ and Rust programming languages, experience working with Linux as a development platform, and excellent teamwork and communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implementation of features across the Mir stack
  • Collaboration with team members to debug and fix issues
  • Participation in code and architectural reviews
  • Creation and improvement of tests and performance benchmarks
  • Maintenance of documentation to enhance developer experience
  • Engagement with open source community and commercial partners
