The key responsibility of this role is to ensure the quality of products is consistently maintained or improved.

Job Description

This Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the required standards. They will conduct regular audits and verify records to guarantee compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct test sampling in accordance with the company's Microbiological Sampling Schedule and any additional testing required
  • Perform monthly GMP & hard plastics audits for the site
  • Raise supplier, internal and customer non-conformances, follow up corrective actions and update national register
  • Monitor verification records; production, warehouse, distribution and highlight gaps to relevant staff members
  • Conduct daily finished product assessments and record results in line with current schedules and requirements
  • Complete staff training when required to do so, from training modules
  • Induct new staff on food handling and hygiene as per company induction procedure
  • Monitor internal calibrations and temperature records for the site
  • Carry out quality checks on the lines ie; weight checks, ingredient traceability, metal detection and highlight any gaps with relevant staff
  • Assist production staff with online queries
  • Assist QA Coordinator with audits for the site and following up non-conformances etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

  • FdTechQualifi>, Science Qualification desirable, or extensive experience working in a high care production facility
  • Solid knowledge of HACCP principles
  • A working knowledge of continuous improvement methods and processes
  • Intermediate level of proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to pick up internal systems quickly and adapt
  • Able to work in chilled environment and deal with issues in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment
