Care Leader Role

This role involves guiding practice that ensures educators are present and responsive in care moments, providing time and space for uninterrupted play, and promoting respectful relationships with babies and toddlers.
The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of developmental perspectives, place-based pedagogy, secure attachment theory, and other contemporary research that supports children's development. They will also be aware that for infants and toddlers to flourish, they require the provision of materials, resources, environments, and interactions that support their innate sense of curiosity and wonder.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing and implementing high-quality educational programs for Birth to Three children
- Collaborating with educators to ensure best practices in infant-toddler care and education
- Mentoring and coaching colleagues to improve their skills and knowledge
The role is supported by an Infant Specialist Practice Coach two days per week. The successful applicant must hold a Diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification, and have experience working in a long day care centre and in a leadership role.
