High Performance Mechanical Systems BIM Designer

We are seeking a seasoned BIM Designer with 4+ years of experience to contribute to the delivery of high-performance, resilient, and sustainable facilities that power the digital economy.
This role involves collaborating with mechanical engineers and the broader design team to produce coordinated BIM models and detailed documentation across all project stages using Revit. Your expertise will be essential in modelling complex mechanical systems including HVAC, ventilation, chilled and condenser water systems, air distribution, and mechanical plant layouts.
You will support project delivery from concept to construction, ensuring model accuracy, constructability, and compliance with BIM standards and mechanical design codes. You will implement and maintain BIM workflows, contribute to digital coordination, and support clash detection processes.
In addition, you will assist in developing and maintaining BIM execution plans specific to mechanical systems in data centre projects, ensuring alignment with client, authority, and industry standards.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will participate in design reviews and coordination meetings, actively contributing to the improvement of digital delivery outcomes and compliance with building codes.

About You
- Experience: 4+ years as a BIM Designer/Modeller in building services, ideally within mechanical engineering. Experience with data centres or large, complex infrastructure projects is highly regarded.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Revit is essential; experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, or BIM360 is a plus.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Australian Standards, NCC, and mechanical systems in large-scale or mission-critical facilities. Understanding of HVAC design, plant room coordination, and energy efficiency requirements is advantageous.
- Attention to detail: Strong documentation quality, design intent, and model integrity.
- Collaboration: Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work closely with engineers, architects, and clients.
