Senior Technical Leader

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish an engineering roadmap with collaboration of senior engineers.
  • Champion engineering initiatives to gain operational efficiencies, increase developer quality of life, and safely improve pace of delivery.
  • Be a champion of and lead continuous delivery within the team.
  • Work incrementally towards delivery of the platform, working closely with product and portfolio teams.
  • Build a strong engineering team composed of onshore and offshore engineering talent.
  • Establish robust engineering practices and processes within the team and facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate design and implementation of software patterns and architecture.
  • Set clear expectations for team members; solicit, synthesize, and deliver feedback.
  • Build, support, and develop the partners platform engineering team.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, delivery leads, and business analysts.
  • Contribute to the improvement of software development lifecycle processes.

About You:

  • Software engineering experience required, with at least 3 years in a technical lead and/or management role in an agile setting.
  • Experience managing onshore and offshore engineering teams.
  • Demonstrable experience improving the continuous learning culture of the team.
  • Experience using automation tools to build automated build/release/deploy processes (e.g. GitHub Actions) and the ability to guide teams to utilize effective automation.
  • Deep understanding of continuous delivery and how it can be achieved in the context of a legacy engineering environment.
  • Practical understanding of AWS and the cloud.
  • Ability to contribute to solutions and architecture.
  • Understanding of containers and container orchestration (docker, ECS, EKS, docker-compose).
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal), able to influence various levels of stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with trends in technology and engineering delivery.
  • Deep understanding of engineering best practices.
  • Experience in designing team and service interfaces.
  • Proven capability to work with remote, global teams.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and tech-savvy.
