We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programs Lead to support our client, a not-for-profit community support organisation, in delivering education programs for young people at risk of disengagement.

About the Opportunity

The Programs Lead will play a key role in facilitating the development, establishment, and delivery of education programs for students. This will involve working closely with the Living Learning team to identify and address barriers to education, providing outreach support and transport to students, and managing groups of students in both classroom and excursion environments.

About You

  • You will have experience engaging with young people facing barriers to education and be passionate about working in a multi-disciplinary team to find innovative solutions.
  • You will have demonstrated experience in developing and delivering trauma-informed programs and services for young people at risk or experiencing disengagement from education.
  • You will have experience in adventure activities, including hiking, water sports, abseiling, and camping.
  • You will have strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships, including problem solving and communicating with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Eligible Criteria

  • You will hold tertiary qualifications in Education, including a current VIT registration.
  • You will have demonstrated experience in developing and delivering trauma-informed programs and services for young people at risk or experiencing disengagement from education.
  • You will have demonstrated experience in managing groups of students both in classrooms and in excursion environments.
  • You will hold a Provide First Aid certificate (formerly First Aid Level 2).
