Program Controls Lead

AECOM is seeking an experienced Program Controls Lead to join our team in Australia. As a Program Controls Lead, you will be responsible for leading program controls on large and complex infrastructure programs, providing senior-level oversight for program controls activities, and spearheading innovative strategies to streamline processes and enhance collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate program controls for large programs with high strategic value and execution complexity.
  • Provide expert guidance and oversight to project controls teams, ensuring effective management of individual project elements and concise communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Develop and implement program controls processes, tools, methodologies, and decisions on major programs of work.
  • Establish and maintain a robust and realistic baseline, assess performance, and provide meaningful analysis to support proactive management of the program.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience of leading program controls on major infrastructure programs, ideally 15+ years in a Program Controls Leadership role.
  • Track record of deploying and managing program controls processes, tools, methodologies, and decisions on major programs of work.
  • Extensive understanding of program controls concepts and principles, paired with experience to provide insights, thought leadership, and evolution of the discipline.
  • Demonstrate a high level of technical expertise in establishing, managing, and maintaining a robust and realistic baseline.
  • Significant experience in leading program controls for major client programs in infrastructure, ideally in the Energy, Water, Aviation, Transport, or urban development sectors.
  • A bachelor's degree (or master's degree) in a relevant field such as Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
