About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Effects Specialist to join our team in environments. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong foundation in photo-realistic, traditional, and digital art skills.

As a Visual Effects Specialist, you will work with live action footage, digital still photography, rendered computer graphic elements, and digital paint to create seamless environments. You will be responsible for creating high-quality computer graphics within a shot using various software programs, working under the general supervision of senior-level artists and specialists.

The ideal candidate will have proven ability in one or more CG techniques, including modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, look development, or compositing. They will also have a high level of problem-solving or creative thinking skills, fluency in Photoshop, Houdini, 3dsmax, Maya, or similar, and Vray or MRay or similar ray trace renderer.

Responsibilities
  • Create high-quality computer graphics within a shot using various software programs
  • Work with live action footage, digital still photography, rendered computer graphic elements, and digital paint to create seamless environments
  • Participate as a team member in determining aesthetic solutions and provide feedback to other members of the production by attending dailies
  • Mentor junior artists and assist them with their shots
  • Meet defined milestones within a timeline
  • Source suitable reference materials for required assets
  • Attend dailies and participate in creative problem solving
Requirements
  • Proven ability in one or more CG techniques, including modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, look development, or compositing
  • High level of problem-solving or creative thinking skills
  • Fluency in Photoshop, Houdini, 3dsmax, Maya, or similar
  • Fluency in Vray or MRay or similar ray trace renderer
  • Degree or 3-5 years relevant experience in one or more of the following fields: Computer Graphics, Fine Arts, Design, or Photography
