Construction Supervisor

Besix International is a leading global construction company seeking a skilled Construction Supervisor to join our team in NSW. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day organization of on-site construction staff, including subcontractors and their various disciplines.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Relevant degree or diploma in building or construction, or other recognized tertiary or trade qualification in a construction-related field.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.
  • High level of professionalism, maturity, and candor in daily work ethic.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Safety and Compliance
    • Proactively drive company safety policies, practices, and procedures in compliance with OH&S legislative requirements to provide a safe workplace at all times.
  • Organize On-Site Activities
    • Organize on a daily and weekly time frame the sequencing of on-site activities ensuring that subcontractors have access to their work face for materials and equipment, including the coordination of materials, equipment, personnel, and materials handling plant.
  • Assist Site Manager
    • Assist the Site Manager and report on a daily basis, site activities which could result in points of delay, safety problems, industrial unrest, and take whatever action is necessary to avert problems.
  • Allocate Resources
    • In consultation with the Project Manager, allocate necessary site staff and resources and confirm that all the resources for the project will be available when required.
  • Review Construction Program
    • Review the construction program with the Site Manager, resequencing of activities as necessary to achieve the programmed completion date.
  • Ensure Quality and Compliance
    • Ensure quality and compliance with standards and contract documents.
