Food Service Professional Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Food Service Professional to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a clean and safe working space at all times. They will also be knowledgeable about restaurant systems, including ordering and expediting procedures.

In this role, the Food Service Professional will be responsible for:

  • Exhibiting conduct in accordance with all gaming commission regulations and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Working in a fast-paced, busy, and sometimes stressful environment while maintaining physical stamina.
  • Completing established set-up, stocking, and closing duties on time.
  • Clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables according to procedures.
  • Knowing and adhering to health and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  • Demonstrating a courteous, friendly, polite, congenial, and efficient attitude.
  • Promoting positive guest/employee relations.
  • Serving all guests according to established standards of service.
  • Delivering all items in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Assisting servers and bussers as necessary with pre-bus and pre-set standards.
  • Communicating customer requests to assigned servers.
  • Being knowledgeable of restaurant seating plans, including sections, table numbers, and seat numbers.
  • Being familiar with all menu specifications and abbreviations.
  • Handling and solving any concerns and questions customers may have or relaying guest complaints/compliments to the appropriate Assistant Manager on duty.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Adhering to food and beverage policies, procedures, state liquor laws, state food safety handler regulations, and all related training material.

This position requires a minimum of one (1) year of high-volume food service experience, preferably in a table-service restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to going above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities and project a professional image.

The work environment may expose employees to casino-related environmental factors, including second-hand smoke and excessive noise. Employees must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English and possess specific vision abilities.

Key Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of high-volume food service experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of restaurant systems and procedures.
