You'll find a workplace where you are supported, heard, and empowered to thrive.About the roles:We are seeking a dedicated friendly casual Food Services Assistant and Personal Care Assistant ideally with Aged Care experience to join our close-knit team at Doutta Galla in Shepparton.Food Service Assistant -You will provide high quality hospitality service and catering / kitchen support to our resident where you will be assisting with meal preparation and presentation, delivery and serving resident meals, and cleaning kitchens, dining rooms and other food areas.The successful candidate will have a passion for providing a quality relationship-based service , have a current food handling / food safety certificate and comprehensice knowledge of food safety guidelines including OH&S and infection control.Personal Care Assistant-Key responisibilities will be to provide respectful personal care, including hygiene assistance, dressing and mobility support including assisting residents with daily living activities and meals.
You will ensure that you maintainaccurate documentation in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards.The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in personal care ideally in an aged care setting, experience caring for people living with dementia.
Certificate III or Certificate IV in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent e.g. Individual Support), the ability to communicate verbally and non verbally with residents living with dementia and/or where English is a second language.You will need to demonstrate the ability to document effectively resident progress notes, knowledge ofthe care plan process and the relevant assessments required.
