Legal Secretary - Personal Injury

We are partnering with a well-established law firm to recruit a skilled Legal Secretary to support a high-performing Personal Injury team in their office.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic practice while utilising your legal secretarial experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Personal Injury department.

You will work closely with solicitors and other staff members to achieve excellent client outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise effectively and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and formatting correspondence, legal documents, and court materials
  • Preparing briefs to counsel and liaising with third parties (e.g. Government departments, insurers, medical professionals)
  • Managing digital dictation and file correspondence
  • Coordinating appointments, medico-legal assessments, and conferences
  • Organising and maintaining files including archiving
  • General office and secretarial duties including mail, filing, and photocopying
  • Assisting with court document preparation and tracking case timelines
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Prior legal secretary or administrative experience (ideally in personal injury or litigation)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Professional, courteous, and client-focused approach
  • Ability to work autonomously and contribute to a team environment
