We are currently seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our team at our Albany Creek Retirement Village.

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play an important role in ensuring that our buildings and common areas are maintained to a high standard. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience and skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in learning new skills and being outdoors, with a strong focus on customer service. They will also possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Attend to various maintenance requests around the village (basic domestic repair tasks)
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks (e.g pool checks, high-pressure cleaning, smoke alarm checks and bins etc.)
  • Liaise with your fellow maintenance team to ensure projects undertaken are completed to a high standard
  • Use our system app to log, track and record the progress of jobs completed
  • Help out around the village with additional tasks

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A genuine interest in learning new skills and being outdoors
  • Skilled or experienced in domestic repair or handyperson tasks (e.g painting) (highly desired)
  • Automatic driver's licence (required)
  • Two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
  • Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not have one, we can complete for you)
