Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major water reclamation plant upgrade project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from procurement through to successful contract award and beyond.

The Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. They will also be responsible for managing and motivating a team of professionals, developing project plans and schedules, and monitoring progress against agreed milestones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams, integrating internal and external resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Project Delivery Performance: Oversee project delivery performance by managing scope, schedule, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Safety and Quality: Embed best-practice health, safety and environmental systems across all project phases, while implementing robust quality assurance frameworks to meet regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through clear communication, consultation and negotiation.
  • Procurement: Lead procurement processes (EOI, ECI, RFT) to ensure compliance, value-for-money, and successful contract awards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary Degree: A degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in the field of Project Management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the management of wastewater systems and recycled water systems preferred.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing teams in the completion of successful projects.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $115,162 - $139,851 plus superannuation, as per our Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 5. The salary offered to the successful candidate will be commensurate with skills and experience.
