
Rail Service Manager

Operate and manage rail services with a busy team in a dynamic environment. This role demands excellent customer service skills, logical planned thinking, and a self-starter mentality.
The face of the business servicing huge multinational customers in Mining and Raw Materials requires effective communication, strong problem-solving skills, and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Working in a high-pressure rail control room environment involves assisting in managing the live running of train operations to ensure efficient delivery of services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing train crew rostering changes within the live run period
- Communicating with track access providers, customers, train crew, maintenance providers, and terminal staff
- Compiling and reporting in shift diaries
- Assisting in managing incident and fault reporting
- Assisting in managing contingency planning for optimal service delivery
This is a demanding role requiring 12-hour rotating shifts (4 am - 4 pm or 4 pm - 4 am) with opportunities for career advancement. Relevant qualifications or previous experience in planning and coordinating resources in transport operations are welcomed.
