We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grounds Person Lead to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that will provide leadership to an experienced and passionate grounds team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to work proactively under pressure to meet deadlines, ensuring we continue to provide surfaces of the highest quality.

This role requires a strong understanding of high standard sporting field preparation and other areas including common reserves and landscaping. The successful candidate will also have experience and knowledge of chemical application accreditation AQF3 or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to an experienced and passionate grounds team
  • Maintain and prepare sand profile sports fields, turf wickets, softball and baseball diamonds
  • Ensure high standard sporting field preparation and other areas including common reserves and landscaping

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Horticulture (Turf), Sports Turf Management or related area
  • Current class C driver's licence
  • Experience and knowledge of high standard sporting field preparation and other areas including common reserves and landscaping
  • Chemical Application Accreditation AQF3 or equivalent

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in maintenance and preparation of sand profile sports fields, turf wickets, softball and baseball diamonds
  • Current class MR driver's licence
  • Chemical Application Accreditation AQF4 or equivalent
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to work flexible working hours
  • Ability to work within a team environment
