The position involves providing exceptional customer service while ensuring prompt and courteous member interaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and reassembling equipment sanitised overnight, reworking the display case to assess daily production requirements and rotating stock accordingly.

Cutting and trimming meat to specifications using band saws and knives is also a key responsibility. Additionally, operating tenderising machines and meat mincers, following all safety and security procedures, assisting with wrapping and stocking the meat case according to plan, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the day, including the coolroom.

Required qualifications include completing an apprenticeship or trade school program, and prior experience as a butcher is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides and ensures prompt and courteous member service.
  • Inspects and reassembles equipment sanitized previous night. Reworks display case to assess daily production needs and rotates product.
  • Cuts and trims meat to Costco specification using band saw and knives. Operates tenderising machine and meat mincer.
  • Follows safety and security procedures.
  • Assists with wrapping and with stocking the meat case according to Meat Manager's plan for product presentation and merchandising.
  • Cleans and sanitizes area throughout the day, including coolroom.

Qualifications:

  • Completed Apprenticeship/Trade School preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Butcher is required.
