Job Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a recent graduate in electrical/electronic engineering to join our team as a Junior ITS/Electrical Engineer. This role will provide an excellent opportunity to work on the West Gate Tunnel Project and gain experience in the design, development, and deployment of ITS systems.

Position

The Junior ITS/Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the ITS subsystems, including power distribution, control systems, ITS cabinets, and detection systems. This role will involve reviewing and analyzing project requirements, participating in systems implementation, configuration, testing, and commissioning, as well as supporting the procurement and testing processes of the ITS subsystems.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  1. Review and analysis of project requirements
  2. Participation in systems implementation, configuration, testing, and commissioning
  3. Support the procurement and testing processes of the ITS subsystems
  4. Review and update of design reports, drawings, spreadsheets, schedules, and asset register
Requirements

The preferred candidate will be a recent graduate in electrical/electronic engineering with experience in the ITS sector. The successful candidate will also have:

  1. Understanding of PLCs and industrial communication protocols
  2. Work or academic experience with electrical design software
  3. Experience configuring commercial electronic/electromechanics equipment
  4. Basic understanding of communication networks and user level in computer systems (virtual machines, servers, operative systems)
  5. Knowledge of the AS 3000 Wiring Standards
  6. MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point)
  7. Working knowledge and/or experience with cable sizing, cabinets, and switchboards
  8. The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
