Support Worker Role

We are seeking experienced Support Workers to join our team. As a key member of our Accommodation Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting and providing services to participants in line with the values of the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Helping participants explore their interests and hobbies through various programs and recreational activities.
  • Transporting participants to events and appointments.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as completing progress notes, charts and incidental reports.
  • Providing personal care including toileting, showering, dressing and feeding as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability and willingness to provide personal care and support activities of daily living in a residential setting.
  • High level of resilience and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated flexibility in methods of alternative and augmentative communication, particularly active listening skills.
  • Current driver's license (minimum P2).
  • Personal mobile device meeting system requirements.
  • Satisfactory background checks including NDIS Workers Check.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011).
  • Certificate 3 in Individual Support or related qualification (desirable).
