Leading Cyber Security Transformation Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large-scale transformation in the field of cyber security. As a Senior Cyber Security Professional, you will play a key role in shaping the direction of our client's SIEM environment and driving innovation in security data management and analysis.
You will be responsible for designing, building, and optimising security data flows, integrating tools like Bindplane, and driving automation through SOAR, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines. Your expertise in large enterprise environments, threat posture, SOC operations, and security processes will be invaluable in this role.
In addition to your technical skills, you will act as a technical leader and influencer within the team, bringing new ideas, championing innovation, and lifting engineering standards. You will work closely with talented engineers, the SOC team, and service owners to design and deliver a modern, automated, and context-rich security monitoring capability.
Responsibilities- Lead the transformation of the SIEM environment from a technical standpoint.
- Design, build, and optimise security data flows.
- Integrate tools like Bindplane to streamline ingestion, enrichment, and routing of security data.
- Drive automation through SOAR, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Act as a technical leader and influencer within the team.
- Strong cyber security background, experience in large enterprise environments, and a deep understanding of threat posture, SOC operations, and security processes.
- Hands-on SIEM expertise, especially with Splunk, and knowledge of Google Chronicle with knowledge of tools like Big Query, or Vertex AI.
- Experience in automation and engineering practices, including SOAR, Python, DevOps, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of data ingestion and integration tools such as Bindplane, and why they matter in building effective security capabilities.
- Proven ability to influence teams, drive adoption of new technology, and deliver results in a transformation setting.
