Job Overview

The role of Construction Supervisor involves leading high-performing teams in delivering exceptional projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in roofing, with at least 5 years of experience and a proven track record in leadership roles.

They will demonstrate excellent communication and management skills, as well as the ability to work independently while maintaining high work quality.

Key responsibilities include supervising the installation of metal roofs, conducting site safety checks, and ensuring compliance with Australian building codes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Site Safety & WHS Checklists: Preliminary site opening checks to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Supervision of Installation Teams: Leading subcontractors and crews across SEQ, Northern NSW, and storm-affected areas in QLD.
  • Roof Inspections: Conducting insurance-grade inspections and reports, including travel where required.
  • Making Safe: Ensuring all work locations are safe for employees and clients, including making safe in emergency situations.
  • Rectifications & Maintenance: Performing rectifications and small maintenance work in various locations, requiring travel.
  • Measure Inspections & Takeoffs: Conducting measurements and takeoffs as required.
  • Crew Management: Daily crew management, check-ins, and progress reports, including travel to various locations.
  • Scope Adjustments: Assisting management with scope adjustments, adhering to HB39 Roof Plumbing Standards.
  • Meetings & Client Interactions: Meeting with suppliers, clients, and potential leads in various locations, requiring travel.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in roofing.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of current building codes, including Australian Standards, SA HB 39, and QBCC requirements, with attention to detail.
  • Skills: Punctuality and proficiency in using technology, including Apple devices.
