Role Overview

This is a key position within the Department for Education, Children and Young People in Tasmania. The primary objective of this role is to guarantee every child and young person is known, safe, well and learning.

The successful applicant will provide technical assistance to the science unit at Clarence High School, performing associated administrative tasks. This includes working with students and staff to maintain a secure and inclusive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will possess current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment) and a Certificate III or IV in Laboratory Techniques, or equivalent TAFE or post-secondary qualification.

Post-secondary studies in science and/or technology are desirable but not essential.

The selected individual will work 22.5 hours per fortnight and must be able to attend to duties as soon as possible until further notice.
