Job Opportunity:

Powertech Resourcing is a multidisciplinary commissioning organisation providing services to the energy and resources sectors throughout Australia.

We are seeking experienced Instrumentation and Control Commissioning Technicians to join our client in the Oil and Gas industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Install, test and commission instrumentation and control systems on offshore platforms to ensure they meet operational, safety and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure all systems are fully functional before handing them over for production.
  • Conduct installation checks, functional loop checks, C&E testing, logic verification, SIF testing & system start-up support.
  • Perform calibrations, installation checks, functional loop checks and logic verification.
  • Support commissioning/start-up tasks such as logic rectification and loop tuning.
  • Develop Safety Instrumented Function Test procedures.
  • Complete inspections, punch lists and check sheets and perform instrument installations, heat traces, fault finding and commissioning while completing hazardous area inspections.
  • Comply with site workplace health and safety procedures, legislation and policy at all times, creating a zero-harm workplace and manage cable tray installation and switchboard terminations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • WA - Unrestricted Electrical Licence (A-Grade)
  • Cert III Instrumentation
  • Previous offshore experience
  • Oil and Gas experience
  • TBOSIET (FOET, BOSIET with CAEBS are also accepted)
  • Escape Chute (5770)
  • MSIC
  • EEHA Certificate
  • Trade Certificate
  • CPR / LVR certificates
