Academic Position in Geography

We are seeking a motivated academic to contribute to the teaching, research and service activities of the School of Education and the Arts. As a lecturer or senior lecturer in geography, you will develop and deliver foundation and profession-focused units, engage in quality research and scholarly activity, and support students across undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels.

Requirements and Expectations

  • A completion of a postgraduate qualification or equivalent in the field of Geography, Environmental Science or a closely related discipline.
  • A teaching qualification or willingness to complete a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching / Education.
  • Experience teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students, using multi-modal delivery strategies.
  • A proven research record with recent publications and ability to contribute to the School's research program.
Additional Requirements for Senior Lecturer Position
  • Possession of a PhD in Geography, Environmental Science or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience in team leadership and mentoring junior academic staff.
  • Ability to develop engaging teaching materials and effectively collaborate with industry and community partners.
