The role involves leadership and support to achieve branch outcomes. A close working partnership is maintained with court management and the judiciary.
Key Responsibilities:- Provides direction and assistance in achieving the objectives of the JP Branch.
- Manages complex projects that involve significant business change and/or have a sensitive nature.
- Develops and implements organisational policies and procedures regarding Justices of the Peace, contributing to operational level policy development in consultation with stakeholders (including judiciary, JP Associations and court managers). Ensures compliance with legislation related to Justices of the Peace.
- Assists in managing assets, facilities, technology and systems for the Branch.
- Contributes to budget development and is responsible for effective monitoring and control of the Justice of the Peace Branch budget.
- Identifies strategies for continuous improvement within the Branch. Participates in initiatives to improve services provided within the region.
