The QA & Compliance Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the adequacy of our Quality Assurance framework and overseeing compliance across the business.

Job Description

This fixed-term contract opportunity (with potential for permanence) involves leading the QA team, implementing and overseeing risk and compliance policies, and managing internal compliance frameworks.

You will be responsible for monitoring legislative changes, conducting training on compliance and QA, and collaborating with insurer compliance teams to review marketing materials.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement and oversee risk and compliance policies, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and AFSL obligations.
  • Manage legal and compliance matters, including contracts, agreements, and sanction screening.
  • Conduct training on compliance and QA, monitor legislative changes, and update policies as needed.
  • Support complaints handling, breach and incident management, and customer communications to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Review marketing materials and collaborate with insurer compliance teams.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Existence of up-to-date QA and compliance frameworks including documentation of processes.
  • Passing of ongoing audits.
  • Meeting KPIs with regards to QA Advancement and embedment of our compliance automation frameworks.
  • Timely resolution of complaints.
  • Over time, reduction in the reoccurrence of repeated complaints through the identification of root causes via the QA process.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A law degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in insurance law and/or financial services law.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritize and manage competing demands and time frames.
  • The ability to work with a wide range of people in a collegiate and responsive manner.
