Job Title: Data Management Specialist

Role Summary:

This is a highly sought-after opportunity for an experienced data management professional to join our team and play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our defence projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing complex data transfer processes, ensuring compliance with defence governance frameworks, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with various teams to ensure seamless data transfer activities, aligning with stakeholder expectations and project timelines.
  • Develop and communicate data priorities in collaboration with key stakeholders, including CSI-IPT Ship 1 Lead and DTR team.
  • Collaborate with MIWS reviewers and data managers to address queries, monitor release progress, and maintain compliance with export control and security requirements.
  • Provide timely reporting to the Project Director, escalating issues as necessary, and coordinating approvals and release authorisations.
  • Represent our organisation at leadership forums, support internal reporting mechanisms, and oversee DPN data transfer processes in line with MIWS SREC guidance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in managing data transfer processes and ensuring compliance with defence governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with regulations and protocols for secure and compliant data handling.
  • Understanding of engineering priorities and data workflows within complex defence programs.
  • Strong skills in reporting, issue escalation, and responding to queries across multiple teams.
  • A minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
