Job Summary

The HSE Advisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and successful delivery of site works for our Education Project on the Gold Coast.

This is an opportunity to contribute to shaping educational spaces that inspire.

You will report to the Project Manager, assisting in reviewing documents and plans that govern project delivery, ensuring compliance with quality and efficiency frameworks.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Review and provide input into HSE and quality plans to ensure alignment with project, business, and legislative requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager and Site Manager to ensure adequate resourcing of personnel with appropriate competency to deliver project HSE and quality plans.
  • Assist in communicating project plan requirements to the wider project team and proactively provide support in implementing the plans.
  • Undertake HSE and quality inspections and assessments, reporting and documenting findings, and ensuring implementation of necessary actions.
  • Contribute to accurate and transparent reporting of project status through Hammertech and other required means.
About You
  • Cert IV WHS (minimum)
  • Management system software experience preferred
  • Proven experience as an HSE Advisor or similar role within commercial construction
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence and engage employees at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Strong commitment to fostering a safety-first culture within the workplace
Requirements

We are looking for individuals with Cert IV WHS (minimum) and proven experience as an HSE Advisor or similar role within commercial construction. Management system software experience is preferred.

You must have in-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to fostering a safety-first culture within the workplace.
