HSE Advisor – Major Construction Project (Gold Coast)

Location: Gold Coast, QLD

Roster: Monday to Friday (Day Shift)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join a top tier construction contractor delivering a high-profile construction project on the Gold Coast. With a strong pipeline of civil and infrastructure & energy works across Queensland, this is a great opportunity to join a respected organisation with long-term project stability and career growth.

About the Role:

As the HSE Advisor, you'll play a key role in supporting site-based health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring best practices are maintained across the project lifecycle. You'll work closely with site and project teams, subcontractors, and clients to promote a positive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and support implementation of HSE systems, policies, and procedures on-site
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Facilitate site inductions and toolbox talks
  • Assist with incident investigations and reporting
  • Monitor and advise on compliance with WHS legislation and project-specific requirements
  • Promote continuous improvement and safety awareness

About You:

  • Minimum Cert IV in WHS (Diploma preferred)
  • Previous experience in a civil construction or infrastructure environment is essential
  • Strong knowledge of relevant HSE legislation and codes of practice
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage teams on safety matters
  • Proactive mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-risk environment
