Program Management Position

The position involves working with a values-based organisation, committed to providing services to the entire community of Queensland. The organisation operates in more than 200 locations, supporting tens of thousands of people each year.

As this is a newly created role, you would be responsible for setting up and managing a corporate PMO that will oversee multiple key projects, including a significant organisational redesign. You are required to ensure that programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Setup, Develop & Maintain project management methodologies and tools for the organisation;
  • Develop project management standards, templates, and processes that align with the organisation's strategic goals and objectives;
  • Provide comprehensive project management support for key projects, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and quality assurance; and
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular status reports to senior management stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field;
  • Experience in programme and project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels;
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret complex information and make sound recommendations;
  • Ability to manage multiple programmes and projects simultaneously and prioritise competing demands; and
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
