Aged Care Assistant Chef Position Available

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Chef to join our team at a respected aged care facility.

  • Assist the Head Chef with food preparation and service for daily meals, ensuring high-quality meals are delivered to residents.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene in line with food safety standards, adhering to all necessary protocols and guidelines.
  • Follow dietary guidelines and individual resident meal plans, providing personalized care to each resident.
  • Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and infection control protocols, prioritizing the health and well-being of residents.
  • Support the team with stock rotation and general kitchen duties, maintaining a smooth and efficient operation.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in aged care or a similar commercial kitchen environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results.
  • Sound knowledge of safe food handling and HACCP procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • A friendly, can-do attitude and strong team spirit, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of care, with a passion for delivering exceptional resident experiences.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Clearance (within 12 months), demonstrating a commitment to transparency and accountability.
  • Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations (including boosters as recommended), ensuring the health and well-being of residents and staff.
  • Food Safety Certificate (preferred), showcasing expertise in food handling and preparation.
